8.1 — The 4-level system

Hierarchy and logic
of the color system

The SDARM color system is hierarchical — not democratic. Each level has a function, a scope and a priority. No lower level replaces the level above it.

1
Level 1 — Institutional · the whole Church worldwide
Mandatory in all materials without exception. Click any swatch to copy the HEX.
#0F3999 Blue#0A245E Deep Blue#9A7B3A Gold
2
Level 2 — Unions · regional administration
One solid color, darker than the parent blue. The GC blue appears as a separate structural bar — never in a gradient.

Level 3 — Departments · General Conference functions
Full palette. The blue #0F3999 is always the first color. Use the search and the Grid, List or Modal modes to navigate.

8.3 — Palette of the Unions

One solid color

Each Union has a single solid color — darker than the institutional blue, never in a gradient. The parent blue appears as a separate structural bar. Click the values to copy.

Strictly regional use
Never in global GC materials. The #0F3999 bar on each card represents the mandatory parent blue. The red of Asian and the green of South America are regional identity colors — distinct from the editorial status indicators, and never used in the same layout as those indicators.
8.6 — Contrast and accessibility

Contrast is not aesthetics. It is responsibility. In 127 countries — including contexts of poor print quality and old screens.

8.8 — Rules of use

What is allowed
and what is forbidden

One wrong color communicates carelessness — and carelessness destroys institutional trust.

Allowed
Blue #0F3999 in all materials — logotype, headings and brand elements.
Gold as an editorial accent — never as a dominant color.
The department's full palette — with the GC blue as the first and structural color.
The Union's solid color — with the parent blue as a separate structural bar.
Green and Red exclusively as editorial status indicators.
Forbidden
Gradients mixing a Union blue with the institutional blue.
A departmental color as the dominant background in external materials.
Regional department colors in global GC materials.
Local colors created outside the official system registered in the Brand Hub.
Mini guides with altered palettes or colors not approved by the GC.
Four levels. One root.
Every color has an address, a function and a limit.
Global consistency
In 127 countries, the same blue. HEX, CMYK and Pantone — copyable with one click — guarantee that in any production context.
Hierarchy is not rigidity
The 4-level system exists to give local identity without fragmenting the global one. A Union has its color. A department has its palette. The parent brand is always present.
The mini guide as an extension
Each mini guide is an extension of the Brand Book — not a parallel identity. The same rules of logotype, typography and institutional color apply inside every mini guide.
Brand Manager's Note
"The full palette of each department exists so that no one has to invent. When the system offers every color with precise, copyable values, there is no reason to improvise. And improvisation is the main enemy of a coherent global brand."
